19. January 2017

The transformation of the tool and die making industry from an established trade to industrial manufacturing plays a central role in the qualification of trainees and young professionals. Therefore, for the first time in the Summer of 2017, the WBA will offer the Tool Manufacturing Challenge, exclusive for the best trainees in the 3rd year or above and young professional tool and die cutting mechanics.

The offer is directed at exceptionally talented young staff members of the tool and die making industry, who will be introduced to state-of-the-art technologies as well as organizational approaches in industrial tool rooms via educational games and best-practice solutions. The demonstration tool room of the WBA, which reproduces the entire process chain with its machinery, guarantees a high practical orientation together with the involvement of experienced consultants and specialists. In human resources development, this further education offer particularly lends itself as an incentive for an especially good performance as a trainee or for the takeover of an employee after a successfully completed apprenticeship.
