The Community Grows

Since its founding in 2010, the WBA Aachener Werkzeugbau Akademie GmbH has grown continuously. We are happy to quickly introduce four new WBA members:

Cooperation member: The Quantitec GmbH offers a comprehensive solution for the indoor-localization and navigation of objects and people for use in intralogistics and production with its IntraNav System. IntraNav is an “enabler” for a number of IoT and Industry 4.0 applications. Application include e.g. forklift position finding and related analysis, locating tools und localizing employees in dangerous environments.

Cooperation member: The oculavis GmbH is a digital startup grown out of the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology (IPT) and RWTH Aachen University and develops Software for mobile devices, such as smart glasses and tablets. Its goal is to revolutionize manual processes during production, quality assurance, service and maintenance through the use of smart wearables. Thus, the oculavis GmbH makes a major contribution to establish Industry 4.0 on the shop floor of producing companies.

Cooperation member: The Zimmer & Kreim GmbH & Co. KG offers solutions around sink erosion, handling and software-controlled process optimization in the tool and die industry. On a national level the company is a leader in the area of eroding machines; on an international level it is a technology leader in the area of software-supported automatoion for the tool and die industry.

Basic member: The WBL Holding GmbH is specialized on tools for chipless metal forming with the focus on medium and large tools as well as services surrounding these tools. The production of new tools and their corresponding service in the area of step-setting for follow-on composite tools and transfer tools belongs to its capabilities.

Within the WBA community there also were several changes. The tool rooms Braunform GmbH and WEBO Werkzeugbau Oberschwaben GmbH intensify their collaboration with the WBA and upgraded from the basic status to business status. Further, the ZF Friedrichshafen AG went from a business to a premium member. Also, our long-time partner Gira Giersiepen GmbH & Co. KG changed from premium to business member.

There are already new members in the starting gates. Of course, we will gladly inform you over further changes in the WBA community and keep you up to date.
