On December 6th, 2016, the consortium study “Additive Manufacturing – New Potentials for Tooling” managed by KEX AG in cooperation with WBA Aachener Werkzeugbau Akademie and our research partners Fraunhofer IPT and Fraunhofer ILT will start. Main focus of this study are the broad applications of Additive Manufacturing in tool and die making. The proved concept of the study will be applied to systematically find hidden potentials of Additive Manufacturing for the tool and die making sector. In a first step of the study a wide market overview will be generated. In the next step technological solutions will be evaluated as detailed studies. Finally, selected business cases will be created for particular applications and components. With all these informations, the study can give you a holistic overview about what happens in Additive Manufacturing and what will happen in the future.
