The WBA Aachener Werkzeugbau Akademie hereby offers its sincerest condolences to the staff and students of the WZL of RWTH Aachen and endorses the words from Prof. Schuh. We hope that our support contributes that most affected areas may quickly return to work.
The facilities of the mechanical, training, measurement and the electronic / electrical shop floors have been almost completely destroyed by the fire. The damage amounts to around 50 million euros, according to initial estimates.
